Who we are:
The Salt Lake County Youth Services Milestone Transitional Living Program. Our mission is to provide services for young adults 18-21 who are experiencing homelessness. Our goals are to provide them with safe housing; to stabilize employment, build skills, to connect them with ongoing resources and support within the community; to help them become self-sufficient so that they can start their lives and break the cycle of homelessness and dependency. Our services include standard outpatient, crisis work, assessments for both mental health, and substance use disorder. We provide client-centered services to all we serve. If you enjoy working in a team environment that is committed to changing the lives of young adults, please keep reading.
What it is like to work here:
As a Salt Lake County agency, Youth Services is large enough to have the resources to assist clients, but small enough to individualize our services to each youth we serve. Most of our clinical team has over 10 years of service working as a clinician for Youth Services.
Surround yourself with:
Peers who are motivated to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. We serve young adults from all walks of life and social status. We have a 45% Direct Service Ratio to provide the clinicians the time they need for documentation, trainings, and staff meetings. Our clinicians have an option for flexible schedules based on personal and business needs. Youth Services is not contract based. We do not expect, nor do we want you to double book clients.
We encourage a work life balance:
At Salt Lake County Youth Services our clinicians are eligible for 12 holidays, up to 24 vacation days, 12 sick days, one personal preference day every year, and up to an additional 5 days of bonus time off, all paid! If not fully licensed, we provide all necessary supervision to become fully licensed. In addition to all of this we provide all new hires with an additional two weeks of paid vacation time to be used during their first year.
