"I became first generation law enforcement in my family and as soon as I got a taste of what it was, I was hooked. In fact, it was the ONLY thing I have ever done for work that I didn't wake up on the morning dreading. I actually loved it and that was something that I had never experienced with a job before. I found so much value and fulfilment in it. The training is amazing. I learned and grew so much in the academy and have continued throughout my career. The people I work with are examples to me of the type of person I want to work around and want to be. With more I experience, I discovered the most rewarding thing for me in any career. To have the tools, resources and training to be able to make a significant impact in someone's life, even as far as to save someone's life. That is more rewarding and fulfilling to me than anything I have experienced before. I am so thankful for the chance I took on working for the Salt Lake County Sheriffs Office. I am also thankful for the chance they took on me." - a current Salt Lake County Deputy
