This recruitment is to fill four Library Assistant positions:
(1) Draper Library - 40hrs/week
(1) Holladay Library - 40hrs/week
(1) Riverton Library - 30hrs/week
(1) Whitmore Library, Tech Service - 40hrs/week
JOB SUMMARY
Provides general reference and reader's advisory services at the information desk and assists customers with the use of library technology resources. Performs a wide range of circulation functions and clerical support tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) years of direct customer service experience; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Education may not be substituted for one (1) year of required customer service experience.

Library Branches

• Basic library operations
• Telephone etiquette
• Cash handling procedures
• Literary genres
• Library cataloguing and metadata

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed primarily in an indoor environment, with occasional exposure to outside weather conditions when emptying book drops. Considerable standing, walking, and sitting.
Requires ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, lift up to 30 pounds and push/pull a loaded shelving cart weighing up to 150 pounds.
