JOB SUMMARY

Performs marriage ceremonies and interpreting services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Two (2) years of customer service experience

Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.

Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check and subsequent mandatory background checks in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

• Performs marriage ceremonies in both English and Spanish.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Performs general clerical tasks in support of the Clerk’s Office.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of:

• Office technology, equipment, software, and practices and procedures related to job specific duties.
• Customer service techniques and practices.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

• Communicate in English and Spanish clearly and effectively verbally, in writing, and publicly.
• Read and interpret State guidelines associated with marriages.

• Research, interpret, and apply applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and establish and maintain working relationships with employees and the public.
• Organize, prioritize, and accurately complete work in a timely manner and under stress and pressure.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work environment is generally fast paced.

This is a part-time position. The applicant will work 25 hours per week maximum based on the needs of the office.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITION

English and Spanish speaking are required.

This is a part-time position. The applicant will work 20-30 hours per week based on the needs of the office.
