JOB SUMMARY
Using professional judgment and skill, assists Chief Deputies, Division Administrators, Assistant Division Administrators and Chief of Administrative Operations in directing division operations in accordance with the District Attorney’s policies. Works in collaboration with other Division Support Services Administrators. Responsible for providing administrative direction, supervision and oversight of division support staff and ensuring compliance with District Attorney and County policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, public relations, communications, business administration, human resources or other closely related field, plus four (4) years’ experience in the direct supervision of employees; OR an equivalent combination of related education and/or experience. Education may not be substituted for the required supervisory experience. Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must successfully pass an initial criminal background check as well as every two years thereafter and continuously meet the requirements of the Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assists the Division Administrator in directing the operations of division and ensures the cooperation of the assigned Division with other Divisions within the Office and County by coordinating activities and day-to-day operations, utilizing county and office policies and procedures.
• Direct supervision of division support staff, including monitoring of work schedules, distribution of assignments, quarterly and annual evaluations.
• Assists District Attorney Administration with making decisions concerning hiring, promoting, reassigning, disciplining, training and coaching of staff.
• Responsible for ensuring the District Attorney’s goals and priorities are met. Assists with establishing goals and priorities for the District Attorney’s Office.
• Provide direct management support to Division Administrators and District Attorney Administration.
• Compiles evaluation reports, summarizes material presented to him/her and advises District Attorney Administration on action to be taken.
• Assists Division Administrator in the monitoring of appropriated budget and coordinating with District Attorney Fiscal Unit for new budget requests.
• May represent the District Attorney’s office on various assigned committees.
• Acts as a resource for the application of Countywide and Human Resource policies and act as liaison with District Attorney Human Resources Manager.
• May be assigned to any Division in the District Attorney's Office. Administrative assignment may be in specialized and complex areas requiring knowledge of state and local government practices and procedures. Familiarity with applicable of county ordinances, policies and procedures is required.
