Background Check Information
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.
JOB SUMMARY
Performs technical and general maintenance, service, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of HVAC equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Five (5) years of experience with HVAC or similar maintenance, of which four (4) years must have been in service and repair.
Graduation from a recognized HVAC training program is preferred.
Must possess a current EPA Universal refrigerant certification at the time of hire.
A current Rocky Mountain Gas Association (RMGA) certification must be obtained within four (4) months of hire.
A valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Utah shall be required at the time of hire.
Must receive a verified negative test result on a mandatory drug test before starting in this position. Will be subject to random alcohol and drug testing. May be subject to post-accident and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires regular extensive physical labor including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying objects 50 pounds and over, kneeling, bending, standing, walking, and climbing ladders. Work is occasionally performed in confined spaces, in hot or cold environments such as rooftops or equipment rooms, and in noisy environments.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITION:
This position is subject to being called to work before or after the scheduled shift.
Must be available for 24-hour call-out when needed.
