JOB SUMMARY

Develops and facilitates a variety of training courses and programs that meet organization training objectives in Human Resources policy, orientation updates, customer service and leadership development.  Partners with HR teams and other stakeholders to assess training needs and goals throughout the county. Supports the administrative functions of Learning & Development.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field, plus two (2) years of related experience in training and facilitation; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Requires a broad knowledge of training methods, theories and materials.

 

Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitates training content delivery through classroom, online and informal settings using a dynamic mix of engaging instructional methods.
  • Creates learning content related to county policies, procedures, and organizational goals.
  • Creates supporting material, exercises, and activities to support the learning process.
  • Creates, implements, and facilitates training related to the existing or new professional development programs for all levels of the organization including individual contributors, supervisors, managers and senior leaders focused on long-term strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Facilitates selected compliance, customer service and leadership development training.
  • Develops assessments to measure the effectiveness of training.
  • Manages training evaluations including developing, administering, and reporting.
  • Monitors content and delivery design, and makes recommendations to curriculum owners to provide inclusive learning experiences
  • Provides customer support for Learning & Development.
  • May plan and coordinate employee events as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
