Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Provides administrative support functions for the Grants and Communications Manager. Helps with communication functions for the Division, including website maintenance, social media, copy editing and graphic design.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Three (3) years of office administrative support experience, OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or experience in graphic design is preferred.

Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check and subsequent mandatory background checks in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides administrative support for the Division leadership and assigned work groups.
• Responds to division requests for assistance with marketing-related products and services.
• Researches the availability and cost of marketing-related products and services.
• Schedules personnel, venues, and equipment for assigned events and meetings.
• Composes a variety of correspondence, documents, and reports; formats, proofreads, and edits.
• Performs copy editing and graphic design for division publications.
• Creates signs and displays for the division.
• Uses social media to market division services.
• Maintains the division employee intranet website.
• May research and analyze projects as needed.

TEMPORARY POSITIONS:

 

An "At Will", FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits and who must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.

  • Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.
  • Are not considered merit employees.
  • Are "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.
