JOB SUMMARY
Coordinates and transports the Trustee Crew with functional supervisory responsibilities. Assists with related planning and prepares for assigned work projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Three (3) years of experience in a field closely related to these duties; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Must possess a valid Class A Utah Commercial Driver’s License at the time of hire

Must obtain a class "B" Commercial Driver License within 30 days of hire

Must obtain a Flagging Certification within three (3) months of hire

Must obtain a Forklift Certification within three (3) months of hire

Must obtain certification on Heavy Equipment used for Snow Removal, tractor backhoe, loader within three (3) months of hire

Must be available for emergency call out and snow removal

Must pass a background check

Must receive a verified negative test result on a mandatory drug test before starting in this position.

Will be subject to random alcohol and drug testing.

May be subject to post accident and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.

Must obtain an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified tree worker certificate with in (1) year of hire date

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Trains trustees in proper use and maintenance of equipment and equipment safety. Oversees Trustee Crew maintaining control at all times. Transports Trustee Crew to and from jail.
  • Performs manual labor involved in mowing, weeding, snow removal, tree trimming, debris clearing, road maintenance, flood control, etc, in all weather conditions
  • Maintains, cautiously transports, and performs daily inspections of light and heavy equipment.
  • Works with Internal Managers to establish daily work assignments. Completes assigned Development Services work requests.
  • Maintains integrity of work area with traffic control equipment, safety equipment and adherence to the OSHA and internal safety policies.
  • Arranges, organizes, and issues equipment, tools, and supplies. Maintains an inventory list and advises team lead/supervisor of necessary items for ordering.
  • Compiles, maintains, and submits required daily records and reports of work performed for Development Services.
  • Assists with other program needs, phones, emergency services as assigned.
