Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

This position provides data tracking support for two Children’s Justice Center building locations, works closely with caseworkers and police to obtain case information for initial interview and tracking of case outcomes.  Monitors case though the criminal justice process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Three (3) years of experience in a closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background investigation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures reliable recording of evidence of victim and witness statements and maintains recording equipment via maintenance schedule and quality control checks.
  • Ensures protection, confidentiality, privacy and security maintained on collection of evidence of victim and witness recorded statements / responds to subpoenas and testifies as required.
  • Data entry and data processing extracted from police and child protection reports. Ensures complete and accurate data entry, conducts quality control checks, and trains staff on the use of the customized Statewide CJC Case Management System.
  • Generates data reports and customized data extracts to fulfill contract and grant requirements as well as reports for program managers.
  • Provides legal transcription of victim and witness statements with accuracy as required by contract for prosecution stage of investigation.
  • Tracks case progress through the police, child protection, and court processes by obtaining outcome data. Utilizes multiple allied agency data systems for case monitoring via remote authorized secure access.
  • Ensures safety of clients by screening people entering the building and monitors activities of people served in the building.
  • Provides general office support to program and staff.
