Salt Lake County Parks & Recreation is looking for outstanding individuals for mowing! We maintain many parks around Salt Lake County.

Work Schedule:
  • Must work an average of 32–40 hours or less per week.
  • Scheduling flexibility may be available to accommodate employee needs when possible.
 
Job Duties:
  • Mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing debris at Salt Lake County parks.
  • During the fall season, employees will perform leaf removal and parking lot cleanup at various park locations.

 

Background Check Information:

 

Due to the nature of some of these positions, the selected applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements 

 

TEMPORARY POSITIONS:

 

An "At Will", FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits and who must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.

  • Must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.
  • Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.
  • Are not considered merit employees.
  • Are "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.

Applicants will be assigned to work at a specific park upon hire. Assigned locations may vary based on need, vacancies, transportation, location to home, etc.
