Job Summary
Oversees the countywide Substance Use Disorders Prevention (SUD) Program. Oversees SUD contracts and service delivery with local providers to ensure the program meets its stated objectives.
The Prevention Program Manager provides leadership and support to the Youth Services Prevention team, which delivers prevention and psychoeducational programming to youth and families throughout Salt Lake County. The Program Manager oversees program implementation and quality, staff development, grants and budgets, data and outcomes, and partnerships with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders. This position provides leadership in evaluating current programming, identifying emerging community needs, and helping shape the future direction and growth of prevention services.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, or other closely related field, plus four (4) years of closely related experience, of which one (1) year must have been supervisory; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experiece. Education may not be substituted for the required supervisory experience.
A valid Driver’s License accepted by the State of Utah is required at the time of hire. A valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Utah must be obtained within six (6) months of hire to operate a County vehicle.
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.
